This Refund Policy explains our policy regarding refunds and cancellations for MathBank subscriptions and services.

Important Notice

MathBank provides digital educational content and services. Due to the nature of digital products, which are delivered instantly and cannot be "returned" once accessed, we maintain a strict no-refund policy as outlined below.

1. No-Refund Policy for Digital Products

General Policy: All sales of MathBank subscriptions and digital content are final and non-refundable. This policy applies to all subscription plans including Weekly, Monthly, Annual, and Lifetime subscriptions.

Reason: As a digital service provider, we grant immediate access to our entire database of mathematics problems, solutions, and educational materials upon subscription. Once you have accessed our digital content, it cannot be "returned" or "unused," similar to how you cannot return a book after reading it.

Legal Basis: This policy is consistent with Hong Kong consumer protection laws regarding digital content and services, which recognize that digital products delivered electronically are exempt from standard refund provisions once access has been granted.

2. Subscription Cancellation

How to Cancel: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting our support team.

Effect of Cancellation: When you cancel your subscription:

  • Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period
  • You will continue to have full access to premium features until the subscription expires
  • No refund will be provided for the remaining days of your current billing period
  • Your subscription will not automatically renew for the next billing period
  • After expiration, your account will revert to the free tier with limited access

Lifetime Subscriptions: Lifetime subscriptions cannot be cancelled or refunded as they provide permanent access to our service.

3. Exceptions to No-Refund Policy

We may provide refunds or credits in the following exceptional circumstances:

  • Technical Issues: If our service experiences significant technical problems that prevent you from accessing the content for an extended period (more than 48 consecutive hours), and we are unable to resolve the issue
  • Duplicate Charges: If you were accidentally charged multiple times for the same subscription
  • Unauthorized Charges: If your payment method was used without your authorization (subject to verification)
  • Service Discontinuation: If we permanently discontinue our service before your subscription period ends

How to Request: To request a refund under these exceptional circumstances, contact us at support@geledtech.com within 7 days of the issue occurring. Include your account details and a detailed description of the problem.

Review Process: All refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to approve or deny refund requests at our sole discretion.

4. Free Trial Period

If we offer a free trial period for new subscribers, you may cancel during the trial period without being charged. However, once the trial period ends and your paid subscription begins, the no-refund policy applies.

Trial Cancellation: To avoid being charged, you must cancel before the trial period ends. We will send you a reminder email before your trial expires.

5. Subscription Downgrades

Downgrade Policy: You may downgrade your subscription plan at any time. The downgrade will take effect at the end of your current billing period.

No Partial Refunds: Downgrading your subscription does not entitle you to a refund or credit for the difference between your current plan and the lower-tier plan.

6. Payment Disputes

Chargebacks: If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider without first contacting us, we reserve the right to:

  • Immediately suspend or terminate your account
  • Pursue legal action to recover the disputed amount plus any associated costs
  • Report the dispute to relevant authorities if fraud is suspected

7. Account Termination by MathBank

If we terminate your account due to violation of our Terms of Service, you will not be entitled to any refund for the remaining subscription period.

If we terminate your account for reasons other than Terms of Service violations, we may, at our discretion, provide a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of your subscription.

8. Refund Processing

If a refund is approved under the exceptional circumstances outlined above:

  • Refunds will be processed within 10-14 business days of approval
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase
  • Depending on your payment provider, it may take an additional 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account
  • You will receive an email confirmation once the refund has been processed

9. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
